5 WAYS TO CHANNEL YOUR INNER FLY GAL

 

LOOKING FLY MEANS NOTHING IF YOU DON'T FEEL IT, TOO!

If you know me personally, you know I love my fair share of self-love and empowerment books. The journey to loving yourself isn't easy (TRUSTTTT I KNOW) but boy, it is worth it. I've complied my list of my top 5 ways to be your BEST self for no one BUT yourself. Time to step into your power, Fly Gal.

TIP #1: STOP CARING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK.

Here's the harsh reality: you're not that special, wait... hear me out. (You still are to me, though!). But when I say this, I mean...They care for 2.5 seconds until there's something more important to care about. IF THAT! I guarantee you no one is watching you religiously saying "Why is she wearing that? Why is she posting that?"It's all in your head. Once you let go of this limiting belief, watch your life change. You begin to move more freely, dress more freely. Simply live MORE freely. No one cares as much as you think. If you want to dye your hair pink, dye it! (And tag me, so I can see it, too!)

TIP #2: GIVE YOURSELF CREDIT.

This one is even a little triggering for me. Look, I get it. You might be thinking..."Mariah, for what though?" You brushed your teeth today? Credit. You made your bed? Credit. You crushed a hard work assignment? Credit. It's not about the action as much as it is about the result. You did it. You freaking did it. Give yourself some credit, give yourself some love. You are the only person on this planet that can take care of this body you have, whether that be physically or mentally, so give yourself credit. You're doing the best you can with what you have. You deserve to feel amazing 24/7. (I'll be here to remind you if you need it.)

TIP 3: NOURISH YOURSELF.

I know this one sounds a little scary. Trust me, it's not. In simple terms, take CARE of yourself, in whichever way that means to you. That could mean binge watching your favorite show to you and going to the gym everyday to someone else. Mine tends to look like treating myself to clothes my closet knows definitely won't fit. Just do it, show your body some love. Take care of her. She's all you got. 

TIP 4: EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS

Meet someone new and learn why they are the way they are. Educate yourself about circumstances you're unknowledgeable about. Read that book that's been collecting dust in your room. Fuel your mind. The best thing we can do as humans is stimulate our brain. I once read a quote that said, "If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room" and it really stuck with me. Always strive to be better. The opportunities to learn in this world are endless. 

TIP 5: DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO

Saved the best for last. (Not because I'm personally affected by it or anythingggg). Seriously, though. Why are you SETTLING? Yes, I said it. Set-tl-ing. WHYYYY. You want to start modeling? Do it. You want to wear an outfit that's normally not your style??? DO IT. WHY NOT. Save the excuses. Life is too damn short. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't. Oh well. But at least, you know you TRIED. That What-if thought will linger forever, TRUST. Start that business if you want. Responsibly. I'm not saying to quit your great job on a whim. Please do not do that. I am definitely not responsible but all I am saying is: life is all about successes and failures. It's okay to fall. Just get right back up. Look, I don't even know if this business will be a huge success for me or another trial and error chapter in my journey. The truth is no one will know for certain. Spread your wings and fly. You may ask yourself..."But, what if I fall?" to that I say, "But, what if you FLY?"
